work work and more work

this week...i work every day! today I was cashier from 8:30-4 and tomorrow, wednesday, and thursday im cleaning. oh joy.

yesterday i went shopping with jenn, mom, and adam. and im almost done my shopping for christmas. yay. matt and I are finishing up tomorrow!

the ravens game yesterday was so frustrating. 1. our offense was too conservative. 2. the refs ripped us off. he did NOT score a touchdown. err. they will win next week. I know it! and they will be in the playoffs:-)

tonights agenda...cleaning, laundry, shower, tv, bed.
tomorrows agenda...working 9-?, shower, matts, shopping

the rest of the week is debatable. but hey christmas in 10 days....yayyyy

Only 17 days til Christmas...

So its finals week. Today and tomorrow i have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do. i can study but thats about it. it is nice to sleep in though and relax. Wednesday I come home and me, jenn, adam, and justin are decorating at grandmoms. We decided to just put the tree up this year and some little inside decorations. Next year...we are going all out. I CANT WAIT!!! possibly 3 train yards and possibly the 12 days of christmas. it will be awesome.

This weekend was crazy. the snow/ice was insane. i was working. but route 30 was completely stopped in both directions. Alex griffith took me home and we beat all the traffic. we took back roads and made it home in 20 minutes...while everyone else sat there for hours haha. but then after i was home for like a half hour...matt walks in the door. i was so suprised. i never see him on the weekend:-) and my mommy made us eggs and pancakes for breakfast.

Next week...im riding the fire truck with Santa and Erin. cant wait!

Thanksgiving break!

So...I must complain about my psychology game project. I worked with 3 other girls on the project and let me tell you I hate group projects. The one girl, Shawna and I did about 90% of the project while the other two girls did about nothing. Shawna and I spent hours on the project. It did look awesome. we made a 3D clue game...each room had to do with psychology like a sleeping chamber and a laboratory...etc. Well sunday night I worked for about 5 hours then monday worked another 5 hours just on questions. I would say I worked about 20 hours total on the whole project. so we get to class and we do peer evaluations and what do you know...one of the girls who did about nothing game shawna and I 4's instead of 5's. what is she thinking???? i think we deserve 5's for the amount of work that we put into the project. if it lowers my grade....i might flip!!


I came home monday for thanksgiving break. not much of a break though....i work all week:-/ even Friday and i wanted to go shopping.

so last night tabitha, justin, and I painted grandmas bathroom. oh what fun...I think the fumes started getting to us after a while. we were laughing at the stupidest things. we can make anything fun. haha. well my mom made us dinner...it was delicious. pot roast, potatoes, carrots, peas, salad, and rolls. then for dessert we had jello.

Today i work 11:30 to 8...it will be a long day. last minute thanksgiving shoppers. oh boy. well theres not much to say my life is pretty boring...

Chiefs

Today was the Maryland Fire Cheifs Association Miss fire prevention contest. Of course it was all the way in Salisbury...a three hour drive. We had to be there at 10 am. that meant leaving the house at 6:30:-( Grandmom went along. I felt like i was going to the ocean, but no beach. So we get there and they cram all 10 queens in one tiny room. We sat there for about an hour until they decided it was lunch time. everyone ate and then judging began.

we went back to another small room where three little old ladies asked each of us individually fire prevention questions. i thought i did good. i wasnt nervous. i answered every question pretty well.

then when everyone was finished, we went and in front of all the parents said why fire prevention is important to me. again...didnt do bad.

unfortunately i lost. oh well. im not disappointed. im happy with my county title.

I met some nice girls today...it wasnt exactly the most exciting day ive ever had but it was ok.

now im back to finishing my 10 page biology paper that ive been working on forever. but its due tomorrow so i actually have to finish this time. ahh

the holidays are coming!!

Fall is definitely here. Its freezing outside. Thanksgiving is in like two weeks and I cant wait. Family, amazing food, no school, it cant really get any better than that.

My teachers are rushing all kinds of work in because as soon as we get back from break, its finals. I have a 10 page research paper this week and a huge psychology project next week. and Im not doubting a test or two popping up somewhere.

Chiefs contest on Sunday. hopefully i'll do good. i have to travel 2 1/2 hours just to give a 5 minute speech on fire prevention but possibly walk away with a title.

Oh and Tabitha dyed my hair yesterday. it looks amazing. i love it!

Three Years...and Election

Yesterday Me and matt had been together for 3 years. it doesnt seem like that long. we didnt go all out this year. we only spent like $50 on each other. I got him a ray rice jersey which i think he really likes. and then i made him a picture frame that has memories of his mom like the beach, baseball, and boyd's bears. I hope he liked his gift. so yesterday we went out to dinner in the harbor at phillips. it was very yummy. then we just came back to school and hung out together.

before we went out to dinner, we drove to hampstead and westminster to vote. i got my "i voted sticker" and got some free ben and jerry's ice cream. it was a sad night though when mccain didnt win. im thinking about moving to australia. we would be much better off there. im worried to see what will happen to this country in the next four years.

Oh...the busy life.

My life is so crazy! Im always so busy. This month I have so much due for my classes; a huge biology research paper, a psychology project, and of course tests. Last week I think I spent like ten hours studying...ahh.

Oh Halloween week...very lame for me. I had to work on Friday, so I did nothing exciting. Saturday I went over to Matt's house except we didnt really do much there either except go out and had Chinese for dinner...yum.

Yesterday...the Ravens kicked butt! I was so worried during the 3rd quarter when they were down by 2 touchdowns. They rarely ever make big comebacks. What can I say? Joe Flacco is pretty much amazing. Last night I had Noodles and Company for the first time. It was very yummy.

oh and tomorrow...im going home to give mr. john mccain my vote!!! you should too! then who knows what i will be doing, but it will be 3 years for matt and I

Update

So its been a while. My week was super busy and this week doesnt look any better. Im still alive in the assassins game at school suprisingly. I killed my target on thursday...he was standing right in front of me in my room (not very bright of him).

Lisa and I rearranged our room on thursday too. it looks awesome. we no longer have bunked beds. thank god. i hated climbing up to the top bunk.

My weekend was not exciting at all. i worked friday night and saturday all day. i guess i cant really complain though...im a poor college student and i need the money. yesterday i went to winfield fire company for an open house. their station is so nice.

well today i have a psych test which im really not looking forward to. i guess it would be smart of me to study instead of rambling about useless information.

Assassins, York, Cracker Barrel...

Today was a good day. Our dorm building decided to start this game called assassins where everyone has a "target" in which they have to kill using a sock. the target or no one else can see you kill them. Needless to say im pretty excited, but I have to walk around carrying a sock and watching my back so I dont get killed.

Tonight, mom and I decided to go to York Galleria to shop. It was fun. I havent been up there in like forever. Bath and Body Works had hand soaps which are like $13 on sale for $3. I bought a few. Twisted Peppermint...it smells so good. Then after dinner we ate at Cracker Barrel which is always yummy. Chicken and dumplings with fried apples...mmm. Then they had this cake called coca cola cake which i decided to get a piece to take home. I havent tried it yet but it looks good...sounds interesting too.

Now im back at school. Staying here for the weekend:-)

The Journey Begins...

So I was at home this weekend from college, reading Brandee's blog and decided it would be a good idea to start my own. My weekend wasn't really eventful at all. Thursday, college was closed so I came home early. On Friday, I went to Spring Garden Elementary for Fire Prevention week. The kids were so excited to see the fire truck and engine.

The rest of my weekend was pretty normal. I worked of course. Very exciting news though, I got an email from Matt's brother who I havent talked to since like May. I dont think I could have been more excited to hear from him.

Well today I went to a crab feast at the firehouse. Wasnt much of a feast for me. I only ate two crabs. Then mom came home from the ocean and brought me lots of goodies. Fishers popcorn, dolle's taffy, and of course the snacks from the food convention.

So now im just sitting in my dorm, getting ready for class tomorrow and probably going to attempt to study for my biology exam.
